Creatures of comfort, it’s your time to shine.

Fall is when we instinctively reach for more cozy sweaters, slubby knitwear, sherpa slippers and warm blankets. But after months of quarantine and working (and pretty much everything else) from home, comfort is already front and center. Housebound attire is expanding into pieces for Fall, now ready for a bit more adventure and exploration, with the softness and coziness we still crave.

“This Fall, comfort is in high demand and we are so here for it,” says Lindy Deal, UpWest's Curator of Comfort. “For us, it’s always been about comforting body, mind and spirit. From the clothing we make, products we sell and the partnerships we form. This Fall, we’re taking comfort to another level: super soft accessories like a felt fedora and fringe scarf, the yummiest layering knits and jackets, the coziest sweaters, and some extra-comfy waffle and ribbed textures perfect for Fall.”

Quarantine’s slower pace and simplified lifestyle brought other lasting levels of comfort as well. Hibernation and slumber are now encouraged, the importance of being idle has never been so celebrated, and more sustainable ways of living are now second nature.

In fact, dawn is breaking on a colorful array of sustainability-focused efforts at UpWest. “From swimwear to sweaters, tees to tanks, sunglasses to shorts, and dresses to denim, about 40% of what we now carry is sustainably made,” says Deal. “So many of my favorite pieces we carry right now are made with recycled plastic or sustainable materials like Tencel™ Lyocell, a wood pulp fiber derived from responsibly managed forests. It’s been really fun finding these products and developing these partnerships as we make progress in finding new ways to source sustainably.”

Deal says UpWest’s new denim line is through a partnership with a brand called DL1961. With styles for women and men, this sustainable denim collection features slim, mid and high-rise styles. “They’re made so you feel super comfy in them and also comfortable knowing they're made in the best way possible for people and the planet,” she adds.

Another move toward sustainability is the Give Back Box where an UpWest Package can be repurposed to donate your lightly-used clothing and accessories with free shipping. Now you can find even more comfort in your finds for Fall.

So, let your sleep get even cozier with a Fall-ready brushed waffle tank and short sleepwear set, paired with aromatherapy, bath soaks and self-care kits for an even deeper slumber. "There's a lot that's uncertain about the world right now, but I love knowing that we're bringing lots of softness, comfort and sustainability into it,” she says. “No matter the season of year - or life.”
