Welcome, Fireside Fleece!
Seen in men’s and women’s tops and bottoms, our new Fireside Fleece has a nurturing, soft, blanket-like feel on the inside. We did this in both Sweatshirts and Sweatpants. On the Women’s Joggers, you’ll find the reverse fuzzy fabric as the face of the waistband for an extra cozy feel and design detail.
Sherpa Everything
We love this fabric so much. It’s on-trend, offers great texture to any look, and it’s also very, very (did I say very?) warm and comforting. Men’s, Women’s and Home all showcase items with sherpa on the interior and exterior. I personally love it in our outerwear with the sherpa-lined hood to keep you extra comfortable on those cold holiday nights. Our Sherpa Mockneck 1/4 zip looks prim and proper to wear around the fam, but really feels like you’re cozied up in a blanket. Our Sherpa booties are perfect for keeping your feet warm around the house, which we do a lot of around the holidays. (yay for that!)
Fabulous Fabrications
Typically, when fabrics are finished, a heat application singes away any raised fibers for a smooth surface. But with a brushed fabric, the fluff on the surface isn't removed. It's instead exaggerated by a brush that teases the fibers out, which makes flannel feel like cashmere. It gives you a cozier, worn-in look, too. Right now, we’re loving brushed and washed fabrics in knits, flannels, fleece, so you’ll see those with tons of UpWest pieces.
Layer it on!
We love the look and functionality of layering. It adds a great mix of texture, color or even patterns to any look. It’s also functional to keep you the perfect temp as you move throughout your day. Start with a Layering Tank, Henley Tee, Tie-Front Waffle Tee or one of our super-soft Graphic Tees. Layer on the Fireside Fleece, Flannel, Sweater, or cardigan from there. Then, of course, outerwear when you head out, which can range from a light Shirt Jacket, to Puffer Coat or Bomber.
Terrific Textures
Flat is boring. Everything we’re loving right now has texture or dimension through the fabric and wash. From sherpa and chunky yarn sweaters, to corduroy and ribbing at cuffs and hems — texture is where it’s at.
Get Extra Cozy With Accessories
Last but not least are accessories! These include hats, scarves and super soft socks. My favorites are the fun Knit Hats with Pom, Blanket Scarf (it’s literally like an amazing blanket you get to walk around with around your neck), and our tall sleep socks in a cozy cable knit.
